TEEBREWS was first launched in late 2006. At the time, a Pennsylvania firm was used to fulfill orders via a link to their website. But it soon became apparent that our customers were being short-changed. Ordering was time consuming, navigation confusing, and their shipping charge of $4.99 for a $15.00 item was excessive. Worse, one had to register on their site to purchase our products. Accordingly, Audrey and Steve decided to implement a custom "shopping cart" which is unbelievably clear and user friendly. No registration is required and our printer's work is of superior quality.
Audrey and Steve met via the internet in the fall of 2004. At the time, he was in Iowa, while she resided in Chicago working as a graphic designer. They married in October 2005, several months after Steve moved to North Carolina to be near his son--a real estate attorney. In November 2007, they relocated back to New York City (Steve's birthplace) so Steve could take care of his 100 year old father and 93 year old mother (married 74 years this July, God Willing) in the apartment he grew up in.
Keep in mind TEEBREWS is not an anonymous internet entry like most, but deals directly with you, the customer. Your calls are answered by Steve or Audrey, not some computer that leads you through a maze of nonsense and frustration. Your business is greatly appreciated and we are always looking to improve our services. Feedback is especially welcomed. Feel free to email or phone us with your comments. Please support us and tell others about TEEBREWS. Also consider purchasing in bulk at substantial discounts for fund-raisers, simchas, business gifts, etc. As Audrey and Steve passionately believe it is our duty—better, privilege—to help one another, 10 percent of gross earnings are donated to community based organizations where the money is designated to help individuals in need. |
Don't be misled by Audrey's good looks. She has a brilliant mind and is exceptionally creative, as you can see by our website. But most important, her beauty outside is exceeded by that inside; traits of kindness, integrity, sense of responsibility, and courage, to name a few. A graphic artist by vocation, designing textbooks for a major publisher, she is a terrific artist, active kayaker, plays the fiddle, largely self-taught, and co-founded the Chicago Mountain String Band. Often volunteering to help others out, her attitude when she meets someone new is "What can I do for that person," as opposed to "What can he/she do for me." Audrey says Steve and she are a perfect match, but Steve laughs. He knows in his heart he has, by far, the better of the deal. By the way, for the official definition of empathy, just look in an unabridged dictionary. Don't be surprised to find Audrey's picture.
To describe Steve in a limited amount of space would be like trying to make your own gefilte fish; it takes lots of your time and is complicated. He is seeker of truth. He is always looking at the bigger picture and delving deep into the core of what life means. If engaged in a conversation with Steve, you will always be challenged and perhaps enlightened by his unique and creative view of life, Torah and spirituality. His keen intuitive sense may direct you to a new understanding that you were not aware of. If you want to know a person who is constantly probing the most difficult questions, it is Steve. Steve’s personal life has spanned a broad spectrum of experience and adventure. Steve has worked in corporate America as a systems analyst and driven a taxi, written a novel, produced his father's play, published short stories, and a lot more.
But enough of Steve's resume, it is deeds that put him in his own category—for example, taking responsibility for his parents care so they can remain in their apartment. Steve goes out of his way to help others when he sees they are a victim of injustice. He is not afraid to get involved. His ambition is to inspire people to awaken to God’s tangibility and the wisdom of Torah. Behind the scenes, Steve is a kind and caring person. He is a loving husband, father, and grandfather. And while some people, at first, find his direct manner a bit intimidating, his kindness is real. If you go deeper, you'll discover his intention is always for the best and his heart is soft. He has a strong sense of integrity and honesty. He will not tell you what you want to hear, but will tell you the truth. His soul abhors deceit, so he often feels distressed observing the lack of integrity in our culture. |
